MINISTRIES
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
In addition to our nursery for infants and toddlers under 3 years old, St. Paul provides educational opportunities for children of all ages beginning with 3-year olds in a pre-school Sunday School class.
Sunday Church School provides classes for children 3-years-old through high school-age. Classes are taught by members of St. Paul who volunteer their time and talent. The curriculum is taken from the recommended Evangelical Lutheran Church in America yearly study. Students adopt social service projects, helping those in need.
First Communion
Instruction in First Communion is offered to children in grades 2-5. Classes are scheduled on four Sundays, one each month, from January through April. First Communion is celebrated in May during worship service. Parents attend the classes with their children.
Confirmation
Confirmation marks the completion of a two-year period of instruction in the Christian faith, beginning in 8th grade, and underscores God’s action in one’s baptism.
Tuesday nights, September through June, are set aside for Confirmation classes. Students are confirmed in October of their 10th grade year.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a relaxed, fun thematic way to learn about God, Jesus and the Bible. Children learn the Good News through storytelling, arts and crafts, music, drama, and classroom time.
In June, 60+ volunteers provide innovative learning experiences for children ages 4 to 11 during the first week.
YOUTH MINISTRY
St. Paul Lutheran Church has an incredible youth program. Our goal as a youth organization is to grow in faith, fellowship
and fun.
We participate in service projects, fellowship events, church-based activities, and retreats. We enjoy being together as a group, sharing our faith with one another, having a great time and getting the chance to meet other youth groups throughout the New Jersey Synod. The Youth Group is for St. Paul Youth from Grades 6 - 12.

Our Adult Forum meets on Sunday mornings during the education hour to discuss a variety of topics, through a biblical approach and a Lutheran look at ourselves and our world.
Adult Study
A variety of programs are available throughout the year – on Monday nights at 7pm and Tuesday mornings at 9:30. Topics vary and often include video-enhanced instruction.
Church Library
Books and video tapes about church and faith are available for use by congregation members and friends.
SOCIAL MINISTRY
The purpose of the Social Ministry committee is to fulfill the Gospel, with the help of our congregation, by assisting congregation members and their families with identified needs, as well as providing requested support throughout our local and wider community. These efforts may include donating funds, collecting needed items or hands-on assitance.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Our Women's Ministry includes monthly meetings of our Women's Book Club.
SENIORS MINISTRY
In addition to our Adult Ministry programs, Seniors may attend our Friday Lunch Bunch gathering at church.
MUSIC MINISTRY
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”
Music is an important part of worship at St. Paul. Making a “joyful noise” at our church means singing hymns as a congregation, accompanied by our Minister of Music on the Allen Renaissance II organ, as well as singing in one of our choirs, ringing bells, and playing instruments for worship. We sing hymns from the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship book.
