MINISTRIES
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
In addition to our nursery for children first grade or younger during church services, St. Paul provides educational opportunities for children of all ages beginning with 3-year olds in a pre-school Sunday School class.
Sunday School
Classes for children ages three years through high school are taught by members of St. Paul who volunteer their time and talent. The curriculum is Bible and lectionary-based, using various ELCA-sourced materials. Students adopt social service projects, helping those in need.
First Communion
Instruction in First Communion is offered to children in grades 2-5. Classes are scheduled on four Sundays, one each month, from January through April. Parents attend the classes with their children. First Communion is celebrated in May during worship service.
Confirmation
The rite of confirmation marks the completion of a two-year period of instruction in the Christian faith, beginning in 8th grade,. In addition to Sunday School sessions, classes meet with the pastor several times in preparation for underscoring God’s action in the affirmation of baptism.
Summer Bible Day Camp
We provide a one-week Summer day camp program for children entering kindergarten though 5th grade. Camp is conducted by the staff of Cross Roads Camp, assisted by youth and adult helpers, from 9:00am through 3:00pm.
YOUTH MINISTRY
St. Paul Lutheran Church has an incredible youth program. Our goal as a youth organization is to grow in faith, fellowship
and fun.
We participate in service projects, fellowship events, church-based activities, and retreats. We enjoy being together as a group, sharing our faith with one another, having a great time and getting the chance to meet other youth groups throughout the New Jersey Synod. The Youth Group is for St. Paul Youth from Grades 6 - 12.

These efforts may include donating funds, collecting needed items or hands-on assitance.

MUSIC MINISTRY
"Sing to the Lord a new song for he has done marvelous things" - Psalm 98:1
Music plays an integral role in the life of St. Paul, anthems and liturgical music are all meant to orient one toward worshipping God in spirit and truth. Our volunteer chioirs, led by our Minister of Music, are the vehicle of this expression. St. Paul has a senior choir that sings each Sunday, a bell choir that plays bi-monthly, a pick-up choir that sings every other Sunday and a children's chimes choir and angel choir that sings/plays occasionally throughout the year. Our choirs sing and play a variety of mucis -- from chorales to spirituals -- all meant to praise the Lord. As St. Augustine wisely remarked, "He who sings prays twice."
